Hi i have done a pap smear recently and got my results the doctor told me i have LSIL mild dysplasia and hpv and also they found coccobacilli consistent with shift of vaginal flora i told me friend about it and she told me i have std with it is that true can u please help im scared to death

LSIL usually needs treatment but follow up is recommended, because there is a 12–16% chance of progression to more severe dysplasia,
Positive HPV test carries a higher risk of developing cancer. HPV is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI). In most cases, HPV goes unnoticed and does not cause any health problems. But when HPV does not go away, it can cause health problems like genital warts and cancer.Women with positive HPV test results require additional follow-up. HPV genotyping tests must be done and if they show positivity for HPV16 or HPV18 should have colposcopy.Take care!
